kapil sharma life story |
"I
didn't know anything about commercial art or computer science," he told
the Times of India. My father was very ill at the time and I asked the
principal if I could teach him how to make money in the theater. I learned a
lot when I was a teacher, like you learned a lot from students while teaching.
I used to do hysterionics and everyone liked it, so I somehow just wanted to
get into the ‘laughter challenge’.
During college, Kapil started acting for the
theater but could not pay the fees. However, his work was praised and he
received recognition from several colleges, who wanted him to represent them at
the youth festival and offered to sponsor his education. With the patronage of
his education he decided to take up the commercial industry. He later did a
diploma in computer science.
Once
Kapil realized that he wanted to take part in the ‘Laughter Challenge’, he
started looking for audition opportunities. He went to audition in Amritsar but
was rejected. However, choosing a friend from his childhood inspired him to
continue his inspiration. He then went for an audition in Delhi where he was
selected. After clearing the audition, he took part in the competition and was
declared the winner of ‘Laugher Challenge’ in 2007. Kapil knew it was just a
start and so, he decided to be a part of the show as much as he could. One of
the various facilities that came his way was 'Comedy Circus', a hit comedy show
of that time. He proved his mettle on the show and won six seasons in a row,
according to the NDTV blog.
Kapil
was still not satisfied and started thinking about how to expand further. He
has decided to invest all his money in creating his own production house 'K9
Productions'. In collaboration with Colors Channel, he launched a show titled
'Comedy Nights with Kapil'. Soon, the show became a success and gained a lot of
popularity. Almost every big superstar appeared in this show, be it Amitabh
Bachchan or Shah Rukh Khan.
Speaking
to NDTV, he said, "This comedy worked side by side. In this show, we take
care of every viewer."
Tried
War, no matter what age group they are. We’re away from cheap comedy that
reassures the whole family that they can sit together and watch this show. Also,
the jokes that we crack relate to ordinary people and therefore resonate with
many. While the show was gaining popularity, Kapil suffered another blow when
the show's set caught fire and almost everything was ruined. He didn’t stop
there and gave everything he could to rebuild the set. Another push comes when
certain differences between Channel House spread and the show shuts down. With
a strong fan base and his own followers, Kapil did not want to disappoint them.
Despite the creative content he hadn’t been
able to perform with before, he came back with more energy on a show titled The Kapil Sharma Show’ on Sony Channel. Sign up for the newsletter Watch and

endured a lot of physical struggles while working on a TV show. However, all
the pain and struggles disappear when we receive the love we received from
millions of people there.
